Russia and China want to build a joint station in orbit

China does not participate in the International Space Station project. However, it does not abandon attempts to create its own orbital station, as evidenced by the active development of the TianGong spacecraft. Nevertheless, China is looking for partners that will help in the creation of an inhabited resort in the long run. And to this end a delegation from China arrives in Moscow

According to RIA Novosti, China plans to start construction of a multi-module space station in the coming years. And they need the Russian experience in long space flights and the construction of large space objects. Russia, with the end of the ISS's operation in the 1920s, risks remaining without the stable workload of its Soyuz. The orbiting of the new orbital station is therefore interesting for both parties. It is expected that the construction of the station will begin in 2020.

China became the third country after the USSR and the United States, which put into orbit their own inhabited resort. "Tiangun-1" was commissioned in 2011, he worked on mooring with space vehicles, tested life support systems. Five years later, communication with the station was lost, and this year it has collapsed in the Pacific.
