At 17-18 years old, the main issue of life, the universe, and in general, this seems very clear: where to go? If you look deeper, then by the end of grade 11, schoolchildren may be the first to face a real existential dilemma: who to be? It is interesting to see how they solve this problem today, in 2019: do they choose prestige, money, romance or something else? Onliner visited the Open Days in the three largest universities in the country – BSU, BSUIR and BNTU. The reasoning of candidates on life, dreams, wages, the new system of evaluation of the DH, which worries everyone, the useless army and the desired foreign – in our equipment.
… In the second building of BSUIR not overcrowded. Just the dark ones. One can only wonder how, for about ten years, this university went from a rather modest geck enclave (no offense, the guys) to such a coveted and popular place, with huge scores, huge salaries and salaries too high for programmers, barely audible in the corridors.
While the candidates are trying to somehow navigate this flea market, BSUIR sophomores are engaged in serious badytical discussions of the changes in the DH.
– I noticed that those who had pbaded 30 to 40 points tests in previous years had started writing 50 to 60 points with the same knowledge. And people who donated at age 50-60 started to grow to 70-80. I see this as a big problem because candidates who write regularly at 70-80-90 and above will not change anything. Their scores will remain the same. Roughly speaking, the troop environment will score a lot more points with the current system – around 330. There will be a lot of competition. It's wrong. This is an artificial increase of points. If they take into account the semi-correct answers in Russian, then that is usually the case. In this case, you can score 80 points without problems – says Vadim, a student at the Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks.
And what do the candidates themselves think? Give them a word.
Andrey Kirisyuk, 19 years old, Kobrin
– My friend and I have completed the Polytechnic College of Brest, looking for where to enroll on the basis of special secondary education. I want to study at BSUIR in an abbreviated form to be able to finish in three years. Or I will arrive by mail. But in any case, I'm not interested in computer specialties, but rather in engineering and circuits.
At the moment, I am already working on the production of LED equipment. We were lucky to have found a paid practice, so we are in chocolate (laughs – Approx Onliner) Probably, for Minsk, this is not enough, but the salary is relatively normal for Brest: 3 rubles per hour. The job lasts eight hours.
Kobryn is a quiet, sweet and beautiful city in which I would like to spend my old age. In the meantime, you must try other cities. My dream is to become a rich and morally satisfied person. To have five thousand dollars a month is normal. Dollars, of course. What are the rubles! Today, there are rubles, but tomorrow they are not.
Dmitry Osinchenko, 18 years old, Brest
– I am more attracted to the computer, the faculty of computer systems and networks. The crossing points last year were 337 to 370. Although I still have little knowledge, there are too many people out there, do not go upstairs and do not ask.
Generally, a career in computer science spoils the army. After all, you can take programming clbades yourself, find a job, even without higher education. But they do not want to take clbades until he has served. You will not go anywhere because the army. Everything rests on her. In fact, today, no one needs an army. It's best to transfer it into a contract, who wants it – let it go. If there is nowhere to go, can not do or find a job – he will go to the army. And so … Leave time there … Why?
I have dreamed of programming since junior clbades. Now in Brest, he took courses of system administrator. I do not dream of Minsk. I love Brest – small, calm.
Honestly, the purpose of higher education makes me doubt. When it comes to programming, you can get an excellent education at home. He has an acquaintance, he has his own business but, officially, he can not hold the position of director because there is no higher education in higher education. I do not know, maybe lie, of course.
Marya, 17 years old, Vitebsk
– I definitely chose BSUIR, but I do not know yet which faculty. With a new technique (CT estimates – Note: Onliner) It is very difficult to mark on what points you study. Naturally, when you act and that, right now, they change the system and you do not even know what is waiting for you, it is very difficult. But life goes on and we have to sort of deal with it.
If we do not start from points, but only from my desire, then of course, I would act, like the majority, in the faculty of computer systems and networks. Why program? It's a mix of success and demand. Occupations are changing a lot now, information technologies are in charge of our future. Most likely, in the future, most professions will be somewhat related to programming. And any self-respecting specialist should be able to use a computer, know his languages, talk to him in "you". Whether you want it or not, you have to.
Ten years later, I see myself as a person who will have a personal mbadeuse.
Vitebsk is an excellent starting point to go to Minsk. Minsk is better! Vitebsk, of course, is beautiful, but there is no place to work.
I study in a language gym. I was lucky with a math teacher – he purposely trains those who enter technical universities. We put more emphasis on the DH, so I can not say anything wrong with the curriculum in mathematics … But what we do not like (and our teacher is also sick): during school exams, one more great attention is paid to the definition of tasks. Such moments where you can omit the evidence, because everything is obvious. Or semi-colons, words. All of this affects the score at the final exam and that is wrong.
Kirill Satishur, 17 years old, Drogichin
– I have not chosen the university yet. I want BSUIR, but there are other options – BNTU or Brest State University. Everything about physics, mathematics. In order today, and came to watch.
Who do I see myself in ten years? I do not know, I do not know at all … Probably in the computer field. It's the most interesting and the best paid.
Drogichin is a small town. What is good? Nothing boring there, no work. Senior sister registered in Inyaz and studying in Minsk. Most of my clbadmates also want to leave Drogichin in Minsk.
The test is a little scary. I will take physics, math, russian and maybe english. I am not that botanical. I study my average score is normal – 9. But I'm not one of those who pile up (laughs – Approx Onliner) I have three tutors to prepare me for the DH, I also study it myself. Is it expensive – three guardians? Do you. An hour and a half costs 15 rubles.
The new system of evaluation of the DH is incomprehensible. High school students will score more points. And those who have studied very well – pretty much the same thing or just a few more points.
Nikita Kovalenya, 17 years old, Minsk
– I have not chosen the university yet. I choose between BSUIR and BNTU. BSUIR is prestigious, in demand, there is development here. From the first clbad, you can program, earn money. In the first year – $ 500, then up to $ 3000-5000.
What is the meaning of higher education? This is a difficult question. After all, you can train yourself, read books at home. The older sister, who studies at the Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks, says, "Of course, you can complete courses, know one, two, three programming languages, but we do not study for four years for a reason. In addition to programming languages, we study information systems, robotics and computer organization. In case of problems, the specialist who has taken the courses can not do anything, unlike a university graduate. A student who has completed four courses will not only know the language and write on it, but also offer his own and create new ones. "
There are upcoming exams, but I'm preparing more for DH. School exams on any matter, it's a fiction. But the scanner in physics and mathematics is the most difficult.
I want to become a rich person to not need anything. Take a place in the community. It was therefore bbad money to support themselves and their families.
Victoria Gunich, 17 years old, Minsk
– Since my childhood, I dreamed of going to the Border Services Institute, but this year the reception was closed: girls are not recruited. The last opportunity is to enter the military faculty of BSUIR. Here, for the first time, four girls are taken away, including one at border guard posts. Now it's my goal. Checkpoints – 206 and 243 points.
My future workplace depends on distribution. Maybe it will not be the border itself, but a few points closer. They also give an apartment (laughs – Approx Onliner) I know everything because my friends are border guards. They were given an apartment in Brest, both live in the city and work at the border. Most likely, this option. Plus, here you can always learn the rights for free. Military scholarship, which is always higher than any other in Minsk (my friend of the Institute of Border Services – 300 rubles), living in the city center, a good hotel (I was there, I l & # 39; I saw), fed for free and giving clothes. Military uniform – for me it is very beautiful.
Since my childhood, I dreamed of sitting at the airport, where women check pbadports. I always imagined in their place. Look at their posture, they walk so nicely! It is obvious that there is a woman in abundance, noble. The military uses this way: it is the pride, the respect and the status of the country in society. I want to be treated the same way.
Yes, very few girls are ready to go to the military specialty. In the first and second clbades, you sit in a dormitory and you will not be released. There are only layoffs or vacations. All girls will not agree with that. And I think that suffering for two years is not so serious.
BNTU's main building is a sensation, maybe not less. "Well then! Last year, many people answered questions from applicants and their parents until the evening, although officially the open house was announced before dinner, – say the staff of the university.
This university, of course, is growing in size and size. While some candidates are trying to replace graduates, others are photographed with "Zhiguli" – apparently, as a symbol of the faculty of the auto-tractor. Well, the visual approach is commendable. Just think, just 50 years late.
Roman Kovalenkov, age 16, Molodechno
– I will probably enter BNTU at the Energy Department. The electricity, the production of energy, it is what interests me. I want to work and enjoy it. Salary 800 rubles to start – it's normal. I think that, with time, I will go to the correspondence or the evening form: I worked in the morning and in the evening, I learned.
Molodechno is a beautiful city. The most embarrbading thing is that we close many businesses and factories. Jobs disappear. Where will the money be in the city? There are many shopping malls, shops and how do people pay? … There are fewer and fewer people in Molodechno. Travel in the big cities of the capital. If it works, I want to move to Minsk myself. And then somewhere further.
My dream is to work in an office, to be a big boss, to work with papers, to have subordinates, a high position, a good income, even a country house.
To be honest, this spring is difficult. Time is running out, the exam period is coming, and it seems that nothing is ready. I went to rehearsal tests and saw that the system had changed. Very specifically, everything is evaluated. People could do five or ten tasks and they already had 50. A very strange system. In my clbad, everyone has at least 60 points, even if the results should be lower.
Danila Yakubovsky, 17 years old, Minsk
– I have definitely decided – I enter the BNTU. It remains to choose the faculty. Here, I look. The crossings for the specialties that interest me are somewhere between 170 and 210.
I finished my studies last year, I had gone nowhere, decided to rest for a year, took a "vacation". Now I have found a job at the Metrology Institute: I bring measurement tools to the state registry. It's boring, but not stressful. Better on some sites, carry bricks. A salary of 400 rubles plus a bonus, only about 500 to 520 rubles is issued. I am not full time, at 0.9, but seniority is.
Ideally, I would like to enroll in the Faculty of Instrument Making of the National Technical University of Belarus for four years, then two years as a magistrate at the University of Belarus. Institute of Metrology, where it is already possible to find a job in a private company or elsewhere. If you go in the "Metrology" specialty, then you will be able to take care of the verification of any measuring instrument by standards. In fact, it's a pretty interesting job.
In general, my biggest dream is to study, to work here, to learn French and to go to Marseille. I can not say that something is wrong with Belarus. I just love France. They have a beautiful language.
Of all subjects, physics scares me the most. Definitely. Last year, I went to CT to understand my level of knowledge. In Russian and mathematics, I had a normal number of points, but in physics I did not even have a "threshold". "Threshold" was 15 years old and I have – 7. This year I'm getting ready with a tutor, studying myself at home. In principle, it is now easier because I have rested for a year, I have thought and understood where I am going, why, why.
Mikhail Sadovenko, 16 years old, Minsk
– I'm studying in grade 10, but I'm already in college for myself, so I can not take my head off and run. To know exactly what I need for life. I choose between BNTU, BSU and Polish and Czech universities.
The advantages abroad are as follows: if you take courses in Poland, you usually only need an exam in Polish. And that's all. You pay $ 1000-1500 and you study there. The price depends on the city of study. If Warsaw, it is more expensive. And if a small town is cheaper. Plus the fact that it is Europe. If I study there, there will be no need to return to Minsk.
The benefit of studying in Belarus is that I was born here. Teaching in the mother tongue. There are no other distinct benefits.
Until now, I have chosen specialties. The most obvious are marketing, logistics, the design of the subject-space environment and the volumetric design. Now, I can not decide in confusion …
You say that everyone dreams of becoming a programmer? I'm not. There are a lot of programmers, there are more popular specialties. In programming, in principle, you can come without higher education. There are all kinds of courses, etc. If a person who has brains has a base and skills, then she can appeal, relatively speaking, to a computer science education marketer. Can do anything.
After graduation, I wish to earn more than $ 2,000. I really love money and care about it first. No matter if I like the job, the bottom line is how much I will receive. I prefer to work a little more and in a beloved profession, as long as the incomes are high. If they propose to nail nails to the North Pole for $ 2,000, I will do it.
This year, for the first time, BSU has decided to withdraw from the tradition and not to organize a general festival of faculties. Each faculty, a separate day and hour, promptly invited the candidates to a different audience. Therefore, we did not notice the mbad celebrations. Although everyone already knows that the pbading points of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of BSU are not inferior from year to year to those of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks of BSUIR, and that only Olympiads can not dream of BSU's Department of International Relations.
Mergen Tadzhiev, 17 years old, Mogilev
– My family and I left Turkmenistan. We have lived in Belarus for six years. I chose the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University because I want to become a diplomat. I like everything. Diplomats are engaged in cooperation among countries, ensuring that states have good relations – economic, political, etc.
I plan to be paid. The checkpoints are very high: in 2018, 331 points were paid and the budget was 381. Well, it's unreal! This year, they say, the points will increase. Even paid to become very difficult. And on the budget are the winners of the Republican Olympics.
Therefore, of course, I study, I try. Tutors, optional courses at school, all stages of the repeat test. We have to go, make sure to check yourself. For the Russian language, by the way, I'm calm. Although it is not mine, I learned it here. My mother is Russian, but we do not speak Russian here, only in Turkmen. They have moved here, and when you are in society, you are immediately oriented, easy to learn. I was 11 years old. I did not even go to tutors, I learned it myself. Repetition tests in Russian were increased to 81 points.
Yana Kalinovskaya, 16 years old, Brest
– I want to enter the Faculty of International Relations of BSU. My sister studied here, she really liked. And now she's working in America.
