The winter tires must be installed on all the wheels of the vehicle. At the same time, they must wear a mountain peak sign with three peaks and a snowflake inside or the signs "M + S", "M & S", "MS", "MS" or "All seasons". The residual height of the sculpture must be at least 4 mm.

"From the first day of the winter year, DPS inspectors will conduct raids in which they will check how the drivers have prepared their cars for the operation," the UIAI MVD reported.

The inspectors recalled that for the participation in the road traffic of vehicles not equipped with winter tires, the administrative responsibility was provided in the form of a warning or a fine of up to 0, 5 basic value (12.25 rubles). If the residual size of the sculpture is less than 4 mm, the driver will receive a warning or a fine of up to 1 basic value (24.5 rubles). In the case of the same repeated violation during the year, the penalty will be 2 to 5 basic values ​​(49 to 122.5 rubles).
