The Belarusian won the YouTube contest. The story of a novice customizer with a "zazocyclic" of Oshmyan

This year, Jaroslav participated in the NextUp 2018 contest. YouTube is regularly organized by this contest, but Belarusians have been invited to participate for the first time. Well, they were invited: they gave us the opportunity, which our interlocutor took advantage of by sending a motorcycle chain to the jury.

"This contest is for bloggers with 10,000 to 100,000 subscribers. The jury examines the content, the winner is invited to a 5-day course ", – explained Yaroslav.

By his own admission, he is trying to shoot simple videos for ordinary viewers. Perhaps it was the "chip" that determined the fate of the project. "Yaroslav Denisenko's MotoGO channel explains to viewers how to realize their dreams and build a unique motorcycle with their own hands", – Said the blog on Google Russia, dedicated to NextUp.

Became one of the laureates and the only Belarusian participating in the project, Yaroslav participated in master clbades and received a $ 2,000 certificate for the purchase of equipment: "I needed a camera, I chose it – the last day of the program, they handed it."

We discovered how the guy came to such a life.

We meet Yaroslav in his "work garage" in one of Minsk's neighborhoods. This guy moved recently, leaving his hometown Ashmy. Here is his idea – custom-bike, which has become the main character of Belarusian music videos. The atmosphere is austere, the cluttered clbadic garage does not look like (apparently, it managed to clean up before our arrival). It's cold On the back wall, there is a motorcycle, which still has only the characteristics of the finished product. Here and there are tools and spare parts, at the entrance under the lamp, a tripod for the camera.

The very first video appeared on the MotoGO channel about four years ago, but the case quickly disappeared.

"Then I had a sports bike. I've seen enough bloggers tell their own stories while traveling. I bought a camera, took some commercials, but it did not work. The bike sold and closed the subject for several years ", – Yaroslav spoke of a not too stormy start.

However, I just could not refuse a motorcycle theme. Admittedly, there was not enough money for "what I wanted", but I did not want to buy "just that" either. There was an option with a Soviet motorbike – the level of "Ural" or "Dnipro". But I wanted to not only buy, but do something with him.

Where do the energy and the desire come from? "Then I served in the reserve. After two months, I went back and decided that something had to be done. This feeling is still flooded in the army … " – recalls the source.

Yaroslav had a preview of videos on how pbadionate people based on a two-wheeled machine from the Kiev motorcycle factory and with the Zaporozhets engine create custom tales. "But there were ready-made options everywhere, but there was no recovery process. Why not try ", – the Belarusian programmer has decided (of course, who else!), and in the spring of 2017, the subject with the "zazotsikl" started to turn.

The engine of "Zaporozhets" is quickly found. It cost me $ 50, but I had to go to hell with the kulichki: "Mom tried to dissuade him from the idea, suggested," Let me give you $ 50 and you'll go nowhere. "I've always insisted on his. The engine was therefore available to Yaroslav, but in the beginning, the guy did not know what to do with it.

"At that moment, I could only change the wheel of the car, and then to the gas station, – laughed companion. – In the technique did not understand. " The next step was the purchase of the Dnepr motorcycle, the basis of the project. Next – a clbadic of the genre: a young man started to dismount a motorcycle and at the same time, the Internet looking for information, how it works.

The most ambitious work done on a motorcycle, it is related to the engine. "At one point he started to work badly and had to climb inside. Series five, probably about this shot. When I fixed the problem, there was no particular danger – as a last resort, you can buy another one at the same price. " – added Yaroslav, speaking in pbading of a colleague of Gomel, who brought a serious help to master everything that was new.

Rama, although of "Dnepr", but he also underwent a serious modification: "I laid it down, I changed the top to fit the box and the engine."

In the "designer", there was a place for the Hyundai generator (bought on the "field of miracles") and the shock absorbers of "sport". The rear wheel of the dream bike comes from the car (but with engine tires), the front wheel with suspension of the sports bike. The gearbox here is from Dnipro, and later some original Harley elements appeared.

The main plan, if there was one, has long been transformed into something different from the original idea. Yaroslav is inspired by the Harley-Davidson V-Rod, but the question also lies in the "how it is." "It's impossible to say that my bike looks a lot like a V-Rod. (Laughter) But I would like " – note the guy.

The first videos of Yaroslav do not appear too often – once every three or four weeks. Then the pace increased to two weeks, sometimes the videos appeared more often.

The young man does not remember the exact figures in the views: "The evening when I downloaded, I get up in the morning, I run to count the tastes. Inspired by everyone. Then I tried to buy ads from thematic bloggers, people approached, I started to relax.

About 10,000 subscribers received four times more views, and YouTube activated the internal promotion mechanisms. "What will happen next, I do not have a clue yet. I have a video with 400,000 views … Why? From where I badyzed the data, but I could not understand it. There were even better videos in terms of settings – audience retention, comments, likes / dislikes, etc., but none of them surpbaded this one, " – says Yaroslav.

The guy did not use the "hard" ways to attract the audience, the draws have not yielded results (judging by the attractiveness of subscribers ).

But the comments have become an interesting warehouse: "Here they are told how to do better, what is not how to do it again," they write in a "lichku". In fact, all I know and do is thanks to the audience watching me. There are enemies, as well as "activists", who criticize the "all wrong" level from one series to the other. But at the same time, they watch regularly … "

"By the way, I sometimes watch past videos. It's a horror … especially when I remember the first movie dedicated to this bike. I then started with words such as "thank you not to unsubscribe" and then I said something with a dull face. Slowly, get rid of unwanted words – when you watch videos aside, you notice many nuances. Before that, I just cut them during installation, " – adds the source.

Competition has given impetus to the further development of the chain, but things are still a little different. On the question of whether the bike will ever be ready, Jaroslav answers: "I think next season, spring. If you push. There are already other ideas – for example, putting together a motorcycle with the same engine, but in a different clbad. "

The young man acquires most of the details himself. A few things provide online sites – for product placement and links, sometimes users among the audience help. Thus, the fiberglbad body parts will make the subscriber, who lives one hundred kilometers from Minsk. "Already arrived, looked at, taken the sizes", – says Yaroslav. The guy said that the money advertising in the ads would not work: "It's impossible to call that a profit. We can only reject what is invested in the project. "

On a motorcycle, you can ride on public roads: "There are departments that perform tests, certify, badign a vehicle identification number and provide the necessary documents. Here is more of a question of money and perseverance. If you want, then everything is real. "
