Opposition presidential candidate Grigol Vashadze, who defeated defender Salome Zurabishvili in the second round held on November 25, refused to take notice of the election results.

Vashadze told his supporters that the opposition "Force in Unity", which he represents, requires early parliamentary elections.
According to official data of the CEC, Zurabishvili collected 59.52% of the vote, Vashadze – 40.48%.
Zurabishvili went to the polls as an independent candidate, but she was supported by the Georgian dream in power.
