The world's leading architects compete in the desire to surprise customers with non-standard solutions. One of the most popular methods is to organically adapt the house to the surrounding landscape and, better yet, to be an integral part of it.
Because this type of structure even has its own term – "organic architecture". It was proposed by the American architect Louis Sullivan and has always embodied Frank Lloyd Wright in the first half of the twentieth century. One of its most famous buildings is a house above a waterfall in the state of Pennsylvania.
Modern technologies allow architects
The stone country house was recently built by architects Olson Kundig. The building was built on one of the islands of the archipelago.
Another architectural marvel is the Casa Tierra house in Spain of UMMO Studio. Here, the rock serves partly wall and ceiling. The cottage is built on a farm 15 minutes from Cordoba. It has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. Cottage can be rented for a short break.
Another unusual modern house is built at the top of the hill. It is located in the Swiss city of Waltz in the middle of the mountain valley of the same name. The structure is almost completely hidden inside the cliff. You can only see the entrance if you stand in front of the facade. Design belongs to SeArch and Christian Muller.
