In Ukraine, measles since the beginning of the year has recovered 25,008 people. Especially in the regions of Lviv, Transcarpathia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Ternopil and Kiev. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
From July 2 to 8, in Ukraine, 1021 people – 416 adults and 605 children – contracted measles. This represents 9% more than the previous week.
According to the department, 25,008 people – 10,085 adults and 14,923 children – were sick with measles since the beginning of the year. Among the complications of measles in Ukraine, 12 people died in Ukraine in 2018: eight children and four adults.
Recall that this year in Belarus, several cases of measles virus importation from Ukraine and the European Union were registered. In the Grodno, Brest and Gomel regions, local transmission was limited, isolated cases were recorded in the Minsk, Minsk and Vitebsk regions. Cases of the disease have been reported in people under 63 years of age. According to the documents, more than 77% of patients had no information on measles immunization.
