The HBO television channel released the teaser of the Chernobyl miniseries and announced the exact date of the premiere of the project. The story of "the mistake that led to one of the most tragic man-made disasters" will begin on May 6. One of the main characters in the series will be the scientist Valery Legasov, whose purpose is to study the causes of the incident.
Boris Shcherbinu, who headed the government commission after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, will play Stellan Skarsgård. The project is directed by Swedish Johan Renk (Breaking Bad, Vikings, The Walking Dead and other TV shows).
