In December, during the large-scale exercises of the Ukrainian army, shooting at sea and on the surface will be practiced. This was announced at a briefing of the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major General Rodion Timoshenko.

According to him, the S-125 2-D1 anti-aircraft complex will be used for firing. It is a modernized S-125 air defense system developed by Ukrainian specialists and put into service in the early 1960s.

The use of new missiles with semi-active and active drifting heads has increased the range of destruction of the target with the complex at 40 km and the height at 25 km.

As a result of these modifications, the missiles of the complex can be used successfully to destroy airborne and surface marine targets.
