According to the Ministry of the Interior, the detainees are men aged 38 and 48 years. At once invalid and already convicted. They are suspected of a series of extortions: they threatened and beat the victims, asking them for money.
– Under the pretext of not fulfilling the existing but more often invented obligations, they intimidated, threatened and beat the victims. For people to prefer to separate from money, "convincing arguments" were used – a knife, a hammer, an ax, – MIA reports. – The amounts required ranged from 120 to 500 Belarusian rubles. As a general rule, the victims of the criminal duo have become residents of Logoisk District with a criminal record.
Now men are detained and arrested. A criminal case was opened against them under Part 2 of Art. 208 "Extortion" of the Penal Code. The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years in prison.
– According to GUBOPiK, the people involved have a reputation for criminal authority and close ties with representatives of the criminal world of the republic. Investigators are now investigating whether men are involved in the commission of other similar crimes and other illegal activities – note from law enforcement officials.
