A Texas resident accidentally videotaped a Douglas C-47 carrying pbadengers during takeoff that caught the runway and caught fire. The video was published on on CBS Austin's Twitter page

Douglas C-47 Skytrain took off from the morning Saturday with the Municipal Airfield Barnet, Texas. After takeoff, the aircraft took the grbad field first with one, and then with the other wing. For this reason, the C-47 deployed at 90 degrees, rolled on the tape and caught fire. On board the military transport plane were 13 people. They all survived, but seven were injured and one was severely burned.
The C-47 Skytrain was built in 1944 and used in the British Air Force, which was delivered by the United States. After demobilization in 1974, he carried out civilian flights for 20 years.
In 2002, the plane returned to the United States where it was refitted and presented to the Texas Highland Lakes squadron. By the way, in America, the C-47 even had its own name – Bluebonnet Belle.
