"We are waiting, the lack of response is also an answer." Ambassador of Ukraine on the reaction of Belarus to the conflict in the Strait

According to the Ambbadador of Ukraine in Belarus, Igor Kizima, after the conflict in the Straits of Kerch, he immediately informed the Belarusian Foreign Ministry of his position. He is sure: it was "an indicative demonstration of the power of Russia".

The Belarussian side did not comment on the conflict in the Kerch Strait. With regard to the Embbady of Ukraine in Belarus, the ambbadador of Ukraine, Igor Kizim, answered the question of the journalists:

– How and by whom this will be commented is the decision of the Belarussian side. We wait The lack of response is also an answer. So, he is accepted in diplomacy. Belarusian Pamyarko will help make the right decision.

The Ambbadador has already expressed his position to the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and asked to take it into account. According to the diplomat, what happened in the Kerch Strait is "an indicative demonstration of the strength of Russia and the attack on Ukrainian warships". Kizim also recalled that Ukrainian ships had already crossed this strait in September, while the Russian side was not going to bomb.

– I would like to note that the attack against Ukrainian ships has occurred abroad, conditionally established and establishing at a distance of 12 miles, which are accepted in international law. And the fact that Russia is now referring to international law is not quite correct. We do not recognize the occupation, it is formally our territory. Even the definition of 12 miles here is not correct. Russia had no legal basis to attack our ships, said the ambbadador.

When asked why the Ukrainian side had not used weapons as an answer, he suggested:

– I think that even if two shots were fired, then all the air force in the Krasnodar territory would have collapsed and simply flooded the ships. On the Russian side, it was a provocation.
