Experts told Izvestia that the new president could move closer to Russia.
"In the case of Salome Zurabishvili, she is more likely to take the first step and meet, for example, Russian President Vladimir Putin," said Georgi Lomia, MP for the Alliance of Patriots of Georgia.
In addition, the experts note that the victory of Zurabishvili, who had at one time openly criticized President Mikhail Saakashvili, shows that society does not want to go back to the time of the leader of the Rose Revolution, whose reign has led to many conflicts, notably with Russia.
