The group AMD must officially launch its server processors Epyc Rome during the second semester. They benefit from an architecture Zen 2 with engraving in 7 nm (for the chiplets) and must continue the effort of the company on the market of the waiters, vis-a-vis a largely dominant competitor Intel.

Pending their formalization, they already appear in the listings of the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) in the form of a long list of 19 variants corresponding to a series Epyc 7000.

AMD Epyc Rome 03

It starts with theEpyc 7252 with 8 cores / 16 threads for a TDP of 120 Watts and that climbs gradually with offers to 12/16/24/32/48 and finally 64 hearts / 128 threads represented by Epyc 77xx models with TDP of 200 Watts and even 225 Watts for the highest range (at least in this list), to have theEpyc 7742.

Prices still have to be known, but they should be a solid competition with the Xeon processors under Cascade Lake architecture, still in 14 nm, prepared by Intel.
