Sexual violence: Mediapart publishes five new testimonies against Luc Besson

Five new women have testified to the French news site Mediapart gestures displaced or badual badault from the director Luc Besson, after a complaint for rape filed by an actress in May and other testimonies published by Mediapart in July .

Two former employees of Europacorp, the production company Luc Besson, two former students of the School of the City of Cinema, founded by the filmmaker, and a former model testify to the site of inappropriate behavior on the part of the director of the "Big Blue", ranging from one of them to unauthorized badual relations, which would have occurred between 1995 and 2016.

Contacted by AFP, Luc Besson's lawyer, Thierry Marembert, did not react immediately. The company of Luc Besson Europacorp, also contacted, did not comment.

Among these new testimonies, there is that of a former badistant director. She told Mediapart that she had suffered from the filmmaker in the 2000s three unauthorized badual relations in Parisian hotels, as well as inappropriate gestures and behavior.

The former model Karine Isambert, the only non-anonymous witness, said that during a meeting with Luc Besson in 1995, while she dreamed of being an actress, he would have "caught by the top of the buttock to (s) press against him hard enough, in (him) making the kiss ".

According to Mediapart, a former student of the Cité du Cinéma school testified to the police in mid-July to denounce facts she considers to be "badual harbadment".

They would have been in January 2016 while she was a second year student at the school of the City and did an internship on the filming of the film "Valerian and the city of a thousand planets". The filmmaker would have made "sit on his knees" and "kissed her neck" several times, according to his testimony.

These stories are in addition to four other testimonies collected by Mediapart in an investigation on Luc Besson published in July, including that of the actress and Belgian-Dutch model Sand Van Roy.

She lodged a complaint against the director in May, accusing her of raping her at a hotel in Paris. She filed a new complaint in July for previously committed acts.
