The Prime Minister was to give a lecture at the University of Liège on Wednesday, but it was canceled. At first, the conference was simply moved from one place to another. But new elements intervened and the presence of Charles Michel would have asked for too much police deployment.
"New elements, spotted this Wednesday on open and closed groups on Facebook have left fears of major overflows, involving a risk of serious violence. It should have mobilized several hundred police and crowd management equipment, while the police in Liege is already very focused on the fuel depot of Wandre, "said a police source in the evening.
