Anderlecht
In an uncomfortable encounter and without a real frank opportunity, Anderlecht shared the stake (0-0) against the Slovaks Trnava during the fifth day of group D in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Already eliminated, Anderlecht began the game with a team completely overhauled before the reception of Genk Sunday in the league. Hein Vanhaezebrouck, who could already count on Zetterberg by his side on the bench, relaunched Appiah, Musona or Morioka and the young Kayembe also got his chance in the midfield just like Dauda at the top of the attack.
Well in the leg, the Ghanaian striker was creating the first opportunity of the game but his center-shot along the goal line. The most prominent Anderlechtois touched the amount shortly before the break (40) a few minutes after a Didillon stop ahead of Bakos (32) in a first half far from exciting.
Fnanche opportunities were even rarer after the break and only Morioka managed to trouble the Slovak goalkeeper with a curling shot (76 '). The climbs of Sambi Lokonga, Amuzu and Verschaeren further reduced the average age of the eleven anderlechtois but that did not change anything at the end of the meeting which ended logically on a score of zero and blank.
In the other match of the group, Fenerbahce and Dinamo Zagreb split on the same score. In the standings, Anderlecht retained the last place with 2 points behind Trnava (4 points), Fenerbahce (8 points) and Dinamo Zagreb (13 points).
And to say that there will be another match to play in this Europa League … the Sporting will go for the occasion at Dinamo Zagreb, Thursday, December 13.
