Not retained by Toro Rosso in 2019, the structure of Franz Tost aligning Alex Albon and Daniil Kvyat, Brendon Hartley played last Sunday in Abu Dhabi which could be his last Grand Prix career. However, the New Zealander, WEC world champion and winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche, believes he is not finished with F1.
"I left the circuit Sunday with my head up, says Hartley on social networks. I am very proud of my history and my journey so far, but I have the feeling that there is still unfinished work in F1. For the moment, it's paused. I have had difficult times before and I strongly believe that these situations make you stronger.
Having a strong national support, a family, friends and my wife helps. I would also like to thank my coach Rich and almost all 500 Toro Rosso employees, with whom I have been and with whom I have enjoyed working this season, as well as the entire technical team, the mechanics, marketing, public relations, logistics, the hospitality team, the factory, the staff and of course everyone at Honda Racing.
I still have many pages to write in my story and I will make the most of this opportunity in the following chapter. "
