Malicious people make believe an accident to rip you off on Facebook.

As our colleagues from RTL report, a scam is currently running on Facebook. Hackers make believe an accident in a particular municipality, photos to support, to steal your identifiers. Their method? Take advantage of your sensitivity and include a fraudulent link at the end of the publication.

The one that is currently running in our country represents a false event that would have taken place in Visé, but that is obviously not the case. After a few quick researches, we notice that the same publication is declined in many different versions, with another city and other photos of accidents. Apart from these two details, the text is always the same.

These fraudsters then take you with the link at the end of publication on a fake page where you are asked for your login and pbadword.

Although it can be confused with a real Facebook authentication page, this is where the scam takes place as some users fall into the panel and offer their pbadword to hackers …

So be careful if you find yourself in such a situation. The best solution is to report the publication to Facebook, which will do the necessary to remove it. And do not even share it to prevent it from making other victims.
