The region is well above the average number of cases in France: 156 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Between November 19 and November 25, 2018, general practitioners recorded a sharp rise in activity compared to the previous week.

Gastroenteritis is an infection of the digestive system caused mainly by a virus. The latter survives at least eight hours on inert surfaces and sometimes up to seven days. The disease lasts an average of 2 to 5 days, but one can remain contagious until 3 days after the cure. The symptoms are numerous and unpleasant: vomiting, acute diarrhea, fatigue, loss of appetite, headache, fever, chills, stomach pain, abdominal cramps, nausea.
