The board of directors of Unizo, the Flemish Independents Union, approved Wednesday the draft interprofessional agreement. "The ball is now in the hands of the other social partners," the organization said in a statement. "This is a balanced agreement, with as much attention for the needs of our employers as their workers," defended before the vote the managing director of Unizo, Danny Van Assche.
The federation stresses that the compromise negotiated at the end of February respects the wage norm and increases the flexibility for overtime. She calls on the unions to take their responsibility too. "To reject it would be irresponsible," she warns.
We will know next Tuesday the final position of the CSC, the FGTB and the CGSLB on this project of AIP, which provides for a wage increase of 1.1% in addition to the index this year and in 2020, an increase equal minimum wage, more flexible overtime and a relaxation of the CCB regime.
