A false alarm at a gas leak in Anderlues has caused the evacuation of about 400 students from the "Le Foya" specialized training school, firefighters from the Hainaut-Est rescue zone said Tuesday.
The school, located rue Guerlement, noticed an abnormal flow of its gas meter. Ores, the operator of the gas and electricity networks, went down and cut the meter in question. According to our correspondent on site, it was a false alarm and the situation was quickly back in order.
The 400 or so pupils, 286 of the secondary and one hundred of the primary, of the specialized school had to be evacuated. The nearby cultural center had been put at their disposal, but the situation was quickly back in order.
