The unexpected success of innovative medicines led to a budget overrun of € 500 million, including € 300 million for immunological treatments in 2019. The minister had ruled out savings on this point because it is about treatments that can save lives. The government followed it for an amount of 200 million euros. The pharmaceutical sector will contribute up to 100 million euros.
The remaining 200 million euros will be offset by measures in the drug policy that will not affect the patient, said the minister, for a EUR 113 million and technical corrections of EUR 87 million
