Three Red Flames players were invited to influence a match during an international qualification a few months ago.

At a hearing on football frauds, Thibault De Gendt, Head of Integrity at the Belgian Football Federation, said three 15-year-old players had been approached by a Turk who offered them $ 50,000 each to rig an international qualifying match.

"
The girls concerned immediately informed us. Subsequently, the international unions (UEFA and FIFA) were informed like the Federal Prosecutor's Office. With this example, I want to show that match-fixing can indeed take place at all levels of football. It is important to inform players at an early age and warn them of the dangers of match fixing.
Says Thibault De Gendt.

The investigation is still ongoing.
