After the war screens on board, here comes the one of ultra-fast charging. Vivo just unveiled Super FlashCharge 120W, its new technology able to charge a smartphone with a battery of 4000 mAh in just 13 minutes. Even more incredible, only 5 minutes would be enough to recover 50%.

On the Chinese social network Weibo, the brand released a short video of 14 seconds in which we see the percentage of battery progress at a crazy speed (with bonus music of Guardians of the Galaxy).

A new record

With his Super FlashCharge 120W, Vivo theoretically throws a beating at Super Charge Turbo from Xiaomi, who uses him a 100W charger. The latter is supposed to recharge a smartphone in 17 minutes, which was already a feat during his announcement. Of course, these two measures remain for the moment theoretical since no independent source could try both technologies.

Today, Oppo's Find X (which belongs to the same group as Vivo) is the fastest charging smartphone according to 01net.com's lab. Thanks to its charger SuperVOOC 50W, it is possible to recharge the battery of 3300 mAh of the device in 34 minutes. The Oppo RX17 Pro (3700 mAh) takes his side 37 minutes to recover 100% of its battery. Other mobiles like the Moto G7 Plus (45 minutes), the Huawei P30 Pro (53 minutes) or the OnePlus 6T McLaren (56 minutes) are just behind.
