We explain to you the new scandal surrounding this controversial drug

The pharmaceutical group Sanofi which produces the Dépakine, a medicine used to fight against epilepsy and bipolar disorders, is
at the heart of a health scandal for many years. Nearly 15,000 pregnant women were "exposed" to this drug between 2007 and 2014 when the latter is now suspected of causing the unborn child
behavioral disorders and malformations.

Carcinogenic products in the air

While the first cases of children whose mothers were under treatment are being dealt with by the courts, a new case
"Dépakine" broke out on Monday

According to Franceinfo and Médiapart, the Sanofi plant in Lacq, located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, emits astronomical quantities of toxic waste. France nature environment even estimates that the plant releases up to 190,000 times the authorized amount of bromopropane, a substance is clbadified as carcinogenic.

This Friday night, Sanofi announced the immediate termination of its responsible site off-standard toxic discharges.
