While in Poitiers, Hakaroa Vallée – 13 years old – crosses France running to talk about diabetes

Perhaps you met him this Monday on the roads between Châtellerault and Poitiers?
At the height of his 1m57, at only 13 years old, Hakaroa goes cycling and racing with a mental steel. Left last July 2 of Bray Dunes in the north, it crosses France on foot and by bike, surrounded by his family to inform on the diabetes and to change the accepted ideas on this disease.

It is to fight against injustices because there are schools and trades that are prohibited [quand on est diabétiques, ndlr] as engineering schools, the judiciary. There are trades such as policeman, fireman, military, social security controller, controller RATP … All these jobs are prohibited to diabetics.

Settled in the suburbs of Paris, the young man was diagnosed insulin-dependent two years ago. He suffers from type 1 diabetes. A "message of love and encouragement"

After Poitiers, he has about twenty steps, and less 1000 km to go before relaxing with the family on the Spanish border.
