Increasingly involved in Japanimation, the streaming giant Netflix is ​​bringing a serious emotional lift to the many fans of the Zodiac Knights. The thirty-year-old work of Masami Kurumada, who won his stripes in the Francophonie at the dawn of the nineties through the animated series in the late Club Dorothée, had marked a whole generation, who made an appointment, every Wednesday, in front of the Club Do to follow the bravado of Seiya (Seyar, in the VF!), Hyoga, Shiryu, Shun and his brother Ikki – and the next day, at the playground, to remake the fighting or mimic the endless uphill steps of the sanctuary.

In announcing the twelve-episode remake of the most successful arc of the saga (The Battle of the Shrine, featuring the 12 Golden Knights) in the summer of 2017, it is a wave of positive enthusiasm that Netflix had sparked. The most irreducible amateurs slightly feared the transition to digital (full CGI), but the spirit of the poster then unveiled, and collaboration with Toei (the Japanese production studio at the origin of the initial series, but also of Dragon Ball Z, Goldorak, Sailor Moon, One Piece, …) were more likely to rebadure.

Recently, the giant has communicated more on this highly anticipated remake. And confirmed the arrival of the 12 episodes of this reboot for the summer of 2019. But he also unveiled a new promotional poster, which says more about the graphic style of the series. And the least we can say is that he divides: if we forgive relatively quickly the fact that Seiya does not appear in the armor that rocked our childhood during the fight against the Chervaliers d'Or but in a Cloth (V3) that theoretically bears only much later in history (in the Hades arc), the 3D aspect, juvenile, smooth, typical video game of the early 2000s, is still far from achieve unanimity…

Of course the series will be given the benefit of the doubt, but the outcry (of the dragon) is not impossible. See you next summer!
