Biden bailed out by staff member for an apparent crumb on his face

President Joe Biden avoided a potentially embarrassing situation after an aide handed him a note warning him of a yellow mark on his chin as he met a number of heads of state on Friday.

Biden, who spoke to governors of the western United States in a virtual meeting, was sitting commenting on the wildfires when the piece of paper was handed to him.

“Sir, there’s something on your chin,” the card read.

The president then wiped his face and appeared to put anything that caught on his chin in his mouth.

The object remained on Biden’s face for the first 10 minutes of the meeting, and photographs of the card were taken after the president turned the note over to jot things down during the meeting.

In March, Biden was criticized for using fact sheets and a brochure listing reporters in attendance at his first press conference since he took the Oval Office on January 20. Biden was looking at a cheat sheet that said “Infrastructure” and mentioned that the United States “ranks 13th for the quality of infrastructure,” that “China spends 3 times as much” on projects, and that “more a third of our bridges (231,000) need repairs ”.

The president had also previously been caught glancing at what appeared to be a journalist’s page or book with head photos during the briefing. Some journalists had circled numbers next to their names.
