President-elect Joe Biden is busy recruiting staff for his transition team and administration, including people with ties to the nation’s biggest tech companies.
Biden appointed Louisa Terrell as White House legislative affairs director on Friday. Terrell is a former member of the Obama administration, although she also held a leadership role at Facebook.
Biden announced members of the agency’s review teams last week, which include a number of people who have worked for big tech companies ranging from Uber to Amazon.
Former Apple lobbyist Cynthia Hogan works full-time for the administration, as does Jessica Hertz, who worked for Facebook.

Lawmakers, especially more progressive members of the Democratic Party, have slammed the nation’s biggest tech companies in recent years, over concerns ranging from anti-competitive behavior to censorship.
Progressives, including the senses Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., And Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Have advocated the dissolution of companies like Google and Amazon over their alleged monopoly practices, which are said to limit the ability of others in their respective industries to compete.
