Biden corrects idea of ​​Sanders or Warren in administration

Biden has unveiled his picks for key administrative positions over the past few days – a list marked by decades of experience and Ivy League credentials. He chose former Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary – a position close to Warren said she had hoped. Other administration picks include Ron Klain for Chief of Staff, Tony Blinken as Secretary of State and Jake Sullivan as National Security Advisor.

Biden, however, admitted that he was open to appointing Republicans to his administration as a sign of unifying the country. His transition team had been selection of Republican candidates for places in the cabinet before election day.

During his interview on Tuesday, Biden also rejected the recent reviews that he was trying to recreate an Obama White House by appointing senior Washington personalities. President Donald Trump has completely transformed the political landscape, Biden said, giving his future government a whole new set of challenges.

“This is not Obama’s third term because we are facing a totally different world from the one we faced in the Obama-Biden administration,” the president-elect said.

Biden also said he and Trump have yet to meet, although he suggested Klain and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows could have spoken. Although the Trump administration officially launched the presidential transition this week, Trump continued to refuse to concede the election, tweeting conspiracy theories of voter fraud.
