President Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has launched a multi-million dollar advertising campaign mirroring the Democratic super PAC ads promoting his COVID-19 relief bill.

The Biden administration reportedly lost $ 50 million on an ad campaign promoting HealthCare.gov, the ObamaCare website, to uninsured people, Spanish speakers and others.

Hedging options under HealthCare.gov have expanded as part of Biden’s US bailout, which was signed into law by the president last month and included another round of stimulus checks.

As ad time is purchased by HHS, the ads – which will run on several different mediums, including digital platforms, television, and radio – are paid for by taxpayers. The first announcement was released on Thursday and boasted that “millions more can afford medical coverage thanks to the COVID relief law.”

Unite the Country, a pro-Biden super PAC, launched an announcement after the measure was signed in mid-March, saying Biden was “keeping his word” with the US bailout. the DNC as well as the super PACs Priorities USA and American Bridge 21st Century also ran similar ads pushing Biden’s COVID-19 relief as well.

While it’s normal for ad campaigns promoting legislation to occur, the ads coincided with a memo released by Priorities USA after the initial ads were released saying voters should see Democrats “enact policies that bring real benefits to their lives. “

“Providing economic assistance to working families struggling with the coronavirus” was one of the main issues listed for new Biden voters listed in the memo. The memo also says Biden’s new voters are looking to tackle racism and “racial disparities.”

The ads come as the Biden administration continues to tout its COVID-19 response.
