The number of reported COVID-19 infections in the United States continues to decline, with the country recording its lowest weekly number of cases since last October.
Hospitalization rates are also down 15.7% from last week, while deaths are down 13.8% in the past seven days.
However, officials warn the country is not yet out of place. The currently reported numbers are still much higher than they were during the spring and summer 2020 surges.
On Saturday, the United States reported 90,199 new cases of COVID-19 and 2,303 additional deaths.
More than 27.5 million Americans have tested positive for the virus and 483,926 have now died.
More than 137,000 of these deaths have occurred in the 44 days since January 1.
Just over 650,000 new infections were reported in the seven days leading up to February 13, according to the COVID Tracking Project.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered across the United States continues to increase slightly each day.
1.66 million Americans received a dose of Pfizer or Moderna on Friday, up slightly from the 1.6 million who received a shot the day before.
By comparison, on January 13, exactly one month ago, only 710,000 Americans were injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.
Officials said on Saturday that just over 37.1 million Americans had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
While that may sound like a large number, it is only 11% of the population.
At the current rate, it will take until November to partially immunize 90% of Americans, according to the New York Times.
