BlackBerry debuted a red version of its key2 flagship phone, notable for its physical keyboard, at the MWC in February, but it was not yet available in the United States. On Friday, the company announced that the Key2 Red Edition is now delivered at a price of $ 699. That's $ 50 more than its basic black brother, but it also includes a 128GB memory (versus 64GB for the old Key2 key) and BlackBerry branded red earpieces.

It is now available through Amazon and Best Buy.

BlackBerry shipped its phone for the nostalgic keyboard about 10 months ago, but had its first shot at a color with the Key2 LE, a low-end model, by the end of 2018. The Key2 Red Edition uses a shade of darker and darker red than the brilliant Key2 LE.

When we looked at Key2, we felt that only regular keyboard users could enjoy the phone enough to ignore its cramped keyboard, sluggish performance, poorly lit photos, and poorly located capacitive navigation buttons.
