Blake Shelton reveals he wants to lose 10 pounds before marrying Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton revealed he aims to lose at least 10 pounds before marrying his fiancee Gwen Stefani on Luke Bryan’s Party Barn Radio podcast.

As the singer of God and his country music buddy, both 44, discussed his next walk down the aisle, Shelton opened up about his fitness goals.

After Bryan asks what the odds are that the eighth Grammy nominee would lose 20 pounds before the big day, Stefani’s future husband set himself a more realistic goal.

“I feel like if I say 10, I have to. So 10. It’s over there now, I can’t let people down, ” said the judge of The Voice, who was crowned sexiest man in the world in 2017.

Shelton added: “ I readjusted all the mirrors in the house. So they look like you when you take a selfie from above because you can’t even stand and look at me in the mirror.

“ I rearranged them or they’re kind of tilted down, looking at me, ” he joked as he yearned to look his best for his third marriage. “So I look up and it’s not that bad.

In September, he revealed that he had gained some weight during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“ I thought it made me look younger, but I was still fat, ” he said of the extra few pounds. “Now I’m trying to lose weight.

Earlier this week Stefani, who he dated for five years before asking the question in the fall, said Shelton’s proposal “ was right on time ” as their relationship matured.

The 51-year-old pop legend stopped by for a virtual interview today on Thursday in which co-host Carson Daly also revealed he once told his old friend that she and Blake weren’t not good for each other.

According to the Hollaback Girl singer, it was obvious from the start that Blake was the right fit for her.

“He’s a really good guy,” she said, beaming. “He is one of the most generous and down to earth human beings.

“It all sounds so generic, but it’s so true. He’s so gifted and so unique and talented and he’s really just my best friend, ” she gushed.

The No Doubt elder had only positive thoughts for the future.

“ I feel so excited to have someone in my life that now I have a chance to say, happiness, you know what I mean? For a long time. It’s just a blessing, all and it’s a miracle, ”she said.

Still, Gwen seemed surprised their relationship even got off the ground, as it came in the midst of her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and her split from Miranda Lambert.
