Country singer-songwriter alt Lydia without love shared a statement on Instagram accusing Mark Panick, the domestic partner of Nan Warshaw, co-founder of Lydia's long etiquette, Bloodshot Records, of sexual misconduct. "I started my relationship with Bloodshot Records at age 19," Lydia writes. "They are a fun and creative group of mostly quality people. In fact, I consider many of them more as friends than as co-workers. However, Nan Warshaw's national partner, Mark Panick, has long been a source of conflict for me. "
Here is his complete statement (spread over several pages of an Instagram gallery):
Co-founder and co-owner of Bloodshot Records Rob Miller made a statement in response to Twitter, disavowing Panick and pointing out that he was never used by the label. "Although I do not agree with some characterizations contained in the content of his recent posts on social media, he writes, the story is essentially and unfortunately true."

Some – whose artist signed by Bloodshot Sarah Shook Quicky questioned Nan Warshaw's silence on the subject, but a few hours later she also issued a statement in which she said she would be moving away from the label "for now". , "she writes," I had a hard time talking about something I could not talk about because I respected Lydia's privacy and her right to speak on her own terms, if at all. I am relieved that Lydia is talking about it now.

Mark Panick also shared a response to the allegations on Twitterin writing, "I do not want to invalidate anyone's feelings by defending myself from these accusations. I have never tried to put some harm into it. I sincerely apologize if anything that I did made it feel uncomfortable and uncomfortable for anyone. "
All this comes shortly after the announcement of Ryan Adams, and this is not unrelated. Bloodshot Records has also worked with Ryan Adams, releasing his 2000 album Broken Heart. Following allegations of abuse and sexual misconduct brought against him by several women, but before she presented her own more specific allegation against Mark on Instagram, she wrote the following: Twitter:
Many people trust me that they are upset and hurt by the news of Ryan Adams. Please know that the people who should be defeated and injured are his victims, not those who will miss his overvalued songs

I am wasted and hurt by an industry that is creative and is here for us and proves more and more that every day, just like other whores
– Lydia Loveless (@lydia_loveless) February 15, 2019
Not really surprising that a label that has allowed a man to fumble, fiddle with and mentally disturb me for more than five years still praises Ryan Adams as a fucking genius.

Bloodshot followed the next day with their own tweets on the subject:
The Ryan Adams we met in the late 90s was a whirlwind of sweet, manic and disheveled talent. After the release of 'Heartbreaker' on our label in 2000, he signed a major contract and later, our paths have rarely crossed.

The Ryan Adams we've heard about in recent days is nothing like the one we knew at the time. To be absolutely clear, we have never seen or heard a hint of the dreadful behavior that was revealed now. We are as shocked and disappointed as everyone else.

And we strongly support his accusers in their search for justification and resolution. There is absolutely no place in the entertainment world for this behavior.
– Bloodshot Records (@BSHQ) February 16, 2019
The fact that this is happening in our corner – the independent underground music scene – a place where many of us are turning to a shelter, makes it deeply disheartening.
– Bloodshot Records (@BSHQ) February 16, 2019
We like to think of this as a place of inclusion and respect. Thus, when "one of us defiles him", the pain is particularly acute.
– Bloodshot Records (@BSHQ) February 16, 2019
We hope that Ryan will expiate his actions quickly and completely and that the voices and experiences of those traumatized will be heard and respected. And that we are all moving towards the eradication of such unacceptable actions in our creative community. -Bloodshot
