BOERNE, Texas – The town of Boerne will host a COVID-19 vaccination center for 500 doses of the Moderna vaccine on Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

According to a press release, residents can register to book a vaccination slot on the website of the town of Boerne from 9 a.m. on Wednesday. A link to the registration forms will be posted on the city’s website and residents will have the option to switch to the Spanish translation.

No one will be admitted without an appointment and no registration will be offered to the church.

Mayor Tim Handren urged people not to call the church and said that as registration is only available online, family and friends may need to help those who may not be. not be tech savvy.

“If you have parents or grandparents who might need help technologically, to sign up, and if you can help them out at 9 am that would be great,” Handren said.

Only residents qualified to receive the vaccine in accordance with State Department Health Services Phases 1A and 1B will be allowed to receive a vaccine, the press release said.

Once the reservation is confirmed, people will receive a follow-up email with the appointment information. Residents are kindly requested not to arrive more than 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
