During the Wednesday episode of the CW series, the scary creature attacks Betty and Alice at her home, and it is revealed that he has a team of people doing his job. Betty is sent to Quiet Mercy's sisters for protection. But when she gets there, she sees that he also has an influence there.
Everything is not scary in the small town. Veronica helps exculpate Archie after finding evidence that the sheriff forced the witnesses to lie. But when Veronica awaits Archie's return, he calls and tells him he has to leave the city.
