2018 World Cup: Two football fans killed in France as police face party-goers in Paris amid victory celebrations

Police clashed with fans during dramatic scenes in Paris as World Cup celebrations broke out across the country.

Two people were killed elsewhere in the country while party-goers celebrated France's first victory since 1998.

the country after the victory of the Blues against Croatia on Sunday.

Some of the worst scenes of violence were in central Paris, where the Champs-Elysees remained closed in the early hours of Monday after riots and looting.

Riots also broke out in other parts of the country. a few crowds in order.

A police source in Paris said: "Riots erupted shortly after midnight as large crowds refused to disperse.

The city of Lyon, where hundreds of young people continued
