"They adopted so many different styles"
Axl Rose said Queen and Freddie Mercury were the "best" group and the "all-time" group leader in a rare interview.
Before playing a concert of Guns N 'Roses in Abu Dhabi that was cut short because of Rose's disease, the singer commented Atlas, a local media.
Asked about her all-time favorite leader, Rose said, "For me, it's easy – Queen is the biggest band and Freddie [Mercury] is the greatest frontman of all time. "
He added: "The band is the best because it has adopted so many different styles."
In the same interview, Rose also talked about her favorite city to play. "New York will always be special for me. When we were in Los Angeles, we were playing in Hollywood clubs, but we wanted to be in New York. We have done so many shows over the years, the city keeps a lot of memories. "
Rose performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" with Elton John and Queen at the "Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert" in 1992.
