A girl who wrote a heartbreaking letter to her father "in paradise" receives an incredible response

A girl who wrote a letter to her father "in paradise" asking her to go home for Christmas received a heartening response from Royal Mail.

Madison Danter, six, received the letter in which she indicated that her note had been given to her father, Thomas Danter, while it was "a difficult journey".

His father Thomas, aged 40, died two years ago after being operated on for a fifth operation to replace a heart valve.

He left five children. Lewis, 23 years old; Chloe, 18 years old; Thomas, 16 years old; James, 13 years old
and Madison.

After sending the letter, the director of the post office delivery office dropped the answer on Madison's doormat.

Addressed to Madison personally and sent home to Wotton-under-edge,
Gloucestershire, the letter explains that the Post has successfully transmitted the letter to his father in paradise.

The letter said: "While we were delivering Christmas cards, we read a very special letter from you.

"So, I just wanted to take this opportunity to contact you and tell us how we managed to send your letter to your father in paradise.

"It was a difficult challenge to avoid stars and other galactic objects en route to the uprising, but rest badured that this important object was delivered safely."

Madison's letter reads: "To my favorite dad,

"I would like to be able to see you and wish you a merry Christmas, you are my favorite person in the whole world.

"I know I can not see you but you can see me so I wish you a merry Christmas.
I love you so much, I would like to be able to see you.

"So much, but I want to know what you want for Christmas, love, a lot, of Madison".

His uncle Shane Danter, 49, said that the letter mattered a lot to Madison, who begins to wonder why his father is not here.

The boss of the cleaning company said: "The letter counted so much for Madison, this Royal Mail worker went beyond the call of duty."

Madison will be spending Tuesday with her mother and siblings before going to her father's grave before Christmas dinner.

Shane added, "The older she gets, the more she wonders why her father is not here.

"But it really made the loss much more bearable.

"The fact that someone took the time to send an answer to a very special little girl gave her a reason to smile and a little comfort."
