The President of the Alliance for Progressives (AP), Ndaba Gaolathe, meets with the Botswana National Front (BNF), the Congress Party of Botswana ( BPC) and the Botswana People's Party

In addressing the media today at his party office in the main mall, Gaolathe said that no matter how they can ignore the issue to work together, circumstances force them to take that road. He noted that what is needed is decency, Honesty, openness and integrity.

Gaolathe mentioned that he had informal discussions with other political leaders of the opposition regarding a possible coalition. "Our informal conversation aims to cultivate the kind of relationships among leaders who can move this country forward, and I hope that these informal talks will result in structured discussions."

He said that for the coalition to work, the contracting parties need a structure that includes the original organizers. "Re tshwanetse ra nna the Mabutswapele," he said

AP members separated from the Botswana Movement for Democracy after a bloody congress that took place in Bobonong.

AP leaders have since made it known that they were not going. be part of a coalition that includes the MDB and its president, Sidney Pilane.
