The 90 kWh battery pack, presumably reduced via a technological voodoo, could cover a distance of more than 248 km and provide juice to both front and rear engines fast enough to propel the GT to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The company says its battery cooling strategy will allow for multiple full accelerations in rapid succession, without the performance of electric vehicles further weakening. The engines will use a Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system with the same adjustment to allow accurate torque vectorization, which will contribute to safety and cornering performance.

Finally, Audi will use the GT to accelerate the overall charging technology of its range of electric vehicles. It will offer a conventional cable charging, but also a wireless induction charging, via a plate installed in the usual parking space of the vehicle. If high-speed charging is available, the car's 800-volt system will enable it to reach 80% capacity in 20 minutes, offering a range of around 200 km. Add to that the highly repeatable performance of the GT – baduming both are going as planned – and you'll have a motor vehicle that keeps you out of trouble all day long.
