Botswana: Dow Rallies against grafting

Gaborone – The African Union (AU) was invited to establish a tangible roadmap to facilitate the review of organizations' commitments to fight corruption.

Minister of International Affairs and Unity Cooperation Dow launched this call at the 31st AU Summit held in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

The summit was held on July 1 and 2 under the theme: "Winning the fight against corruption: a sustainable path to the transformation of Africa." Dr. Dow emphasized the importance of peer review of anti-corruption issues.

Dr. Dow urged AU member states to continue to seek innovative new solutions in the fight against corruption in Africa. Dr. Botswana also promulgated the 2016 Act that empowers and protects members of the public who speak when they testify or suspect they have been wrong.
