Last week, leaders of the Alliance for Progressives (AP) ganged up against President Mokgweetsi Masisi, attacking populist stunts to win the hearts of many unsuspecting voters. The PA leaders have swept Masisi, suggesting that his new reforms are not genuine policies to empower Botswana and steer the country in a positive economic direction.

They were speaking at a political rally in the parish of Boikhutso in the Francistown South constituency, in the presence of AP Vice President Wynter Mmolotsi, Dr. Phenyo Butale, Dr. Tambula, and the Hon. advise Nyeku among others.

Dr. Butale spoke about the worst corruption scandal in Botswana. the disappearance of 250 million Philippine pesos from the coffers of the national oil funds. He said that Batswana are now suffering because of the stolen money because it was intended to offset international fluctuations in fuel prices. Because funds for this purpose were diverted, road users have to pay a high price by constantly paying higher prices at the gas pump.

The country has seen a series of price increases in Butale fuel, which would have been avoided if the NPF's money had not been looted.

Dr. Butale expressed dismay at the reasons why some people consider the dismissal of Isaac Kgosi by Masisi, recalling Roy Blackbeard's opening hours of alcohol establishments as major political strategy. Dr. Butale argues that there are more urgent and urgent national issues to be addressed, such as creating jobs and policies to stimulate the economy.

When Wynter Mmolotsi stepped onto the podium, he strongly criticized the BDP scheme and its leadership. He said that Botswana is currently in a state of desperation with the standard of living of its citizens deteriorating constantly while a handful of BDP lawmakers have become corruptly enriched. Mmolotsi is shocked that Botswana continues to vote for the BDP as the economy of Botswana collapses and the social fabric continues to collapse. Mmolotsi said that the main reason for the introduction of the tax on alcohol was still questionable because there is no tangible achievement of its objectives despite the collection of billions of pula.
