China is home to 219 supercomputers worldwide, while the United States has 116, according to the latest report from the Top500. But the two most powerful supercomputers are always Summit and Sierraowned by IBM in the United States.

There are 29 of the 500 largest supercomputers in Japan, 19 in France, 18 in the United Kingdom, 14 in Germany, 13 in Ireland and the Netherlands, eight in Canada and five in Singapore.

Intel now provides 96% of all supercomputers, said the Top 500.

In terms of "green" supercomputers, the Shoubu B system in Japan has been rated as the most energy efficient.
