JOHANNESBURG – The Minister of Trade and Industry, Rob Davies, has tried to allay the fears of local operators about Brexit.

Davies took the floor on Wednesday following the parliamentary defeat of British Prime Minister Theresa May's exit plan.
The minister said that the government has made provisions for various scenarios that may arise from Brexit.

Davies said the priority now is to ensure that all trade agreements between the European Union and South Africa, as well as the United Kingdom and South Africa, are correctly adapted.
