Katsvairo has no more club since his departure from Amakhosi early in the year, but he is back and is looking to revive his career sick

Michelle Katsvairo, former Kaizer attacker Chiefs, has returned to Zimbabwe to sign a professional contract with CAPS United.

Katsvairo's agent, Michael Ngobeni, told Goal that his client had signed a one-and-a-half year contract with the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League club.

The career of the fast striker took a plunge after being deemed surplus by Amakhosi early last season.

He was then loaned to Tanzanian club Singida United for the 2017/18 season.

However, Katsvairo, despite a good campaign start in Singida, returned to Naturena in December 2017 after citing problems

His move to Tanzania came after struggling for playing time in the second half of the 2016/17 PSL season.

At the time, Katsvairo had only made 16 appearances in all competitions with three goals to his credit.

Katsvairo was a popular striker before coming to South Africa to join Amakhosi.

The 28-year-old will now attempt to resurrect his sick career where it all began, though it's not clear at this point he'll consider returning to the PSL in the near future.

On his return from Singida United, Katsvairo was linked to a possible transfer to Baroka FC.

But the reported agreement failed and he remained clavessed for at least six months until CAPS United gave him a lifeline.

As Zimbabwe's Premier League Soccer season approaches mid-term, Katsvairo will certainly try to play as many matches as possible before the end of the match.

He could easily have returned to Chicken Inn, who has five points ahead of CAPS United on the log, but Katsvairo knew that he could be under tremendous pressure to play in his old club.
