Al Ahly announced that he will record Phakamani Mahlambi in the squad for the Egyptian Premier League campaign 2018/19 following the long injury of Junior Ajayi.
The Red Devils The Dutchman Ajayi suffered a serious knee injury during Al Ahly's 1-0 win over Township Rollers on Saturday.
The injury forced the Nigerian out of the game before the end of the first half. Al Ahly's football director, Mohamed Youssef, confirmed that the player would be out of action for four months.

Youssef also announced that the club has decided that the South African winger Phakamani Mahlambi will replace Ajayi in the club team for 2018/2019.
Mahlambi was so close to leaving Al Ahly this summer and was linked to a return to South Africa, however, Ajayi's injury revived Al Ahly's 20-year career.
He joined Al Ahly the last summer of Bidvest Wits, scoring once and providing five badists in 15 appearances since then.
The defending champions will begin their league campaign with a tough test against rivals Ismaily on Thursday, Aug. 2 at Borg El-Arab Stadium.
