Netflix commissioned SF Studios an original six-part series based on the well-known Swedish crime franchise "Snabba Cash".

Inspired by Jens Lapidus' best-selling novels, the series takes place in Stockholm's underground criminals, ten years after the events described in the trilogy "Snabba Cash" ("Easy Money"). Society became even more obsessed with status and money, as the entrepreneurial jet set and criminal worlds clashed.

The show was developed by Oskar Söderlund, the acclaimed screenwriter at the origin of "The Fat and the Angry", in collaboration with Lapidus, Swedish criminal defense lawyer and author, who sold more than 2.2 million of books in Sweden.

Lapidus, who is also executive producer, said he "was waiting for the opportunity to continue with Snabba Cash". "The stories are always epic, but they also describe our time in unfiltered light. It will be incredible, "said Lapidus.

Tesha Crawford, director of international originals for Northern Europe, said the Swedish series "will bring back the world of these beloved films in a new and exciting way."

The Stockholm Black trilogy "Snabba Cash" is published in 30 languages. The first book, "Snabba Cash", has been successfully adapted into three feature films produced and distributed by SF Studios in the Nordic countries.

Netflix's "Snabba Cash" series is produced by Nicklas Wikström Nicastro, a member of SF Studios, whose credits include "A Man Called Ove", Sweden's third-highest-grossing film, nominated for Oscars 2017.
